you may be familiar with florida based producer amable if you have heard either of sassbologna's "underground hip hop essentials" compilation tapes, or the "electronicomp." amable has also released an ep on strangegibberish.net and has been performing live and making noise in the papers - his latest (and greatest, if i may say) effort consists of 12 eclectic head-bobbers that hit you with tribal bashing drums, gfunk flavor, experimental sampling and electronic rhythms.. ends with a couple of really chill tracks that would make any MC's imagination go wild. glad to finally have this long time affiliate join the proper roster. free mp3 download comes along with tape purchase! united states

odetta - "cut and paste volume one and two" (tape)
limited to 100.

here's a review of volume two from SLUG (magazine) "Odetta= DJ Shadow + Metal Fingers Doom + Pete Rock + Dr Who Dat? I've had the chance to thumb through some of Odetta's vinyl collection and just about every record I touched had some inspiring funk sound or soulful sample. The guy simply doesn't keep crappy records in his crates and this is what makes Odetta's production so solid. The best way to begin making beats is with an unyielding base of samples and a vast record collection. Cut & Paste Vol. 2 contains over twenty-four jazz-infused beats that take you through some of the smoothest sounds ever put on vinyl. "Before My Time," was one of my favorite tracks, featuring a diverse array of samples and flowing string bass, but "Naturally" was the song that helped me ultimately decide that Odetta is among Salt Lake's best producers. His music could make an MC sound dope, but speaks volumes on its own. Be sure to check out Cut & Paste Vol. 1 for more of Odetta's spotless production." united states

bold little airwave - "lo-fi hi-hopes" (tape)
limited to 100.

taylor hendrix aka bold little airwave delivers his 4th(and first non self-released) album on cassette. BLA creates 1980's inspired music on his hefty collection of keyboards and circuit bent toys and prides himself on the absence of computers/sequencers in his creative process. "my music does not have a story, that is for you to add. there are no words, only the ones you hum to yourself. there are no morals, no political agenda, no message. just music. and i plan to make lots of it." he has some pretty sweet videos on youtube as well. reminds me of bruce haack, dust brothers, god is an astronaut, video games, the 80's. united states

the littleman complex - "discography" (tape) $5
limited to 100.

defunct act from chicago playing fast, in your face, 80's style hardcore. features members of chicago greats kung fu rick & hewhocorrupts (ie. ryan durkin on vocals), mary tyler morphine, the siderunners, the wayouts, etc. here's a translation of a review from lunkinzine.se "Distortion, desperation, and almost an entire life in one little cartridge. The Litt Leman Complex intensity is piled on the intensity and their music demands your attention whether you like it or not. It happens a lot among curvy gitarriff and galloping drums, but the band have full control over which of the street would only be seen as chaos-like noise. A discography should really be something juicy to swallow, but TLC thrive on the border between melody and madness, which makes the whole picture becomes very diversified. I think of bands 8 Days Of Nothing dipped in early Kill Holiday and spiced with a little Black Flag and then be savored with Blood Brothers in the background. This is crazy good, and the only thing I can really complain about is that the recording quality is somewhat uneven. It has in itself a certain charm and contributes to the roughness feeling, but I can not help myself from wishing a better quality of låtmastodonter as "Turn out the lights," "American headache" and "3 minute song."" united states

underground hip hop essentials volume 2 - compilation (tape) $3 . 50
limited to 100.

"there are some talented artists on this first compilation. Mark Aubert certainly stands out in this collection. A lot of the tracks gave me a Medeski, Martin and Wood type of feel with the bass booming powerfully in front. The tape overall is refreshing because lyrics dont take a backseat like they do in most genres. I am without a doubt a lyric person first, and music comes last. I would love to hear more of most of the artists featured on this compilation. Its reminiscent of a time when everything was fresh and open for experimentation and that can be seen in the packaging. There is a care free (not careless) approach to this that I truly admire. There is definitely something going on here and a lot of the tracks are good quality tracks, but I can't embrace it completely. My favorite track on the comp. is DJ Dredi/ Weez 1 track "is wrong"..." - quiet collective united states
